The Supermoto club of WA headed up to Geraldton for its annual MID West shootout at the Mid West Kart Track...On the Saturday the track went from wet to dry ,as there were a few riders that hadn’t ridden here it was a good familiarization for them as the track got pretty slippery when wet. On Sunday the track conditions went from dry to wet then in the afternoon started to dry out which pleased everyone.

The first group out were the Posties ,the flag dropped and it was the Honda of Gaby Watson that went into turn 1 first  being pursued by Ryan Woods ,Wayne Brittain and Steve McQueen ,but at the end of the 8 laps it was Gaby Watson that stood atop of the podium with Ryan Woods picking up second ,Wayne Brittain picking up third .In Race 2 they lined up again and the flag dropped and it was a fight between Gaby Watson and Steve McQueen who was going thru’ T1 first ,over the next few laps these two riders fought it out ,with Ryan Woods and Wayne Brittain having their own race .As the laps counted down it was still Watson and McQueen battling out ,but then Gaby Watson pushed too hard into T2 and went into the grass ,came back out and continued the battle with Steve McQueen  ,but at the end of the 8 laps it was again Gaby Watson that took the flag from Steve McQueen ,coming third was Ryan Woods .Race 3 came along and the group lined up ,the starter lifted the flag and the group headed into turn 1 all battling for position ,but coming out was the Honda of Steve McQueen being chased by Gaby Watson and Ryan Woods ,this continued for the next few laps ,but after the 8 laps it was Steve McQueen that crossed the line to take the flag ,with Ryan Woods picking up second ,coming in third was Wayne Brittain .Race 4 the posties lined up for their final race ,the flag was lifted and the group headed into T1 with again Steve McQueen and Gaby Watson  fighting for position as the race wore on it ended up being a duel between these two riders ,after the 8 laps it was Gaby Watson that claimed the top podium with Steve McQueen coming in a close second ,Ryan Woods claiming third .

The next class out were the 7 riders in the Mini Motards, the flag was raised and the group headed down into T1, but coming out in front was the Yamaha of Tim Rose being pursued by the YCF of Frankie Bietto, the KTM of Beau Erikson and the Yamaha of Lee Johnson, but as the laps went by it was Tim Rose that pulled ahead to go on and take the flag from Francesco Bietto by just over 9 sec’s with Bea Erikson coming in third. Race 2 they lined up and again the group rode into T1,coming out the other side was again the Yamaha of Tim Rose with Francesco Bietto ,Bea Erikson and Lee Johnson in pursuit ,but as the 12 laps went by it was Tim Rose who rode in to take another top podium from Franseco Bietto who claimed second ,KTM rider Bea Erikson picking up third .In Race 3 the 6 riders lined up again ,the flag dropped  and they headed into T1 following the Yamaha of Tim Rose, the YCF of Francesco Bietto ,the KTM of Beau Erikson and Lee Johnson on his Yamaha ,as in the previous race it was Tim Rose and Francesco Bietto that were dueling for the lead with Beau Erikson and Lee Johnson going at it for third ,but after the 12 laps it was again Tim Rose that stood atop of the podium ,Francesco Bietto claiming second ,with Beau Erikson getting third. In the final race they came out, lined up and the flag dropped and it was again the Yamaha of Tim Rose, the YCF of Francesco Bietto that took the lead heading out of T1 with Beau Erikson, Lee Johnson and Stefano Cavalli Scrapping for third, as the race counted down it was again Yamaha rider Tim Rose that took the flag with YCF rider Francesco Bietto claiming second, and Beau Erikson just edging out MiniGp factory rider Stefano Cavalli to take third.

The Clubman class were the next group to come out and do battle ,the 10 riders lined up ,the flag was raised ,the riders took off into T1 and coming out at the head of the pack were Honda rider Gavin Bayliss ,KTM rider Reevenjit Singh ,as the laps started to count down they were already opening up a slight lead on the rest of pack with Mike Hurlbatt ,Joseph Langguth and Aaron Reay fighting for third ,when the 10 laps were done it was Gavin Bayliss that just beat Reevenjit Singh by only 20cm ,so close ,coming in third was Husky rider Mike Hurlbatt .In Race 2 they lined up and off they went ,then un fortunately the weather turned and the race was red flagged. The race was restarted after lunch once the track had started to dry .The riders came back out, the flag was raised and they headed into turn 1, and it was Honda rider Gavin Bayliss with KTM rider Reevenjit Singh in pursuit that took the lead, as the race wore on it was Gavin Bayliss who handled the wet track that took the top podium, after fighting off Beki Pech Reevenjit Singh claimed second .Beki Pech coming in a close third.
