The Supermoto club of WA held its round 2 race day at the Wanneroo International Kartway on Sunday , the weather bureau predicting showers and storms ,but the conditions were ideal for racing with just overcast skies ,and only a quick spit of rain at the end of race 3.

The first class out to do battle were the Posties ,when the lights went out they all headed into turn 1 but coming out was Ryan Woods being hotly pursued by Dave Mercer and Sean Summers  ,as the race wore on it was Ryan Woods who rode away to take the flag with DGM getting second spot on the podium ,Sean Summers came in to claim third spot. In Race 2 they lined up, the flag dropped and it was Gabby Watson and Ryan Woods who headed into turn 1 to head the pack, as the laps counted down Watson built on her lead, it was only Woods that tried to rope her in but on lap 6 Gabby Watson held on to keep out Ryan Woods to take the flag, coming in third was DGMercer.Race 3 the posties came out, the lights went out and it was a scramble for the first turn, heading out at the head of the pack was Ryan Woods who was being pursued by Gabby Watson and Sean Sommers, as the race went on it was Woods and Watson who were fighting it out, when the last came it was Ryan Woods who just took the flag by 0.054 of a sec from a determined Gabby Watson who claimed second spot with Sean Somers taking third. In Race 4 the group of posties came out ,lined up ,the lights went out and coming out ahead of the pack was DGMercer ahead of arch rivals Ryan Woods and Gaby Watson ,Sean Sommers and Wayne Brittain bringing up the rear ,but due to some mechanical issues the postie of Wayne Brittain wasn’t ging that well .After the 6 laps it was DGM who rode on to take the flag by just over 7 sec’s ,coming in second was Ryan Woods ,with Gabby Watson claiming third .The feature race it was fought out between DGM and Gabby Watson  for the 2 lap dash , during the 2 laps the lead changed many times but Watson showed DGM  a clean pipe and rode on to take the flag .

The next class out were the Mini Motards which fielded 8 combatants  ,when the flag dropped the field headed into turn 1  and took off down the track with Tim Rose heading the group of riders ,but as the race went on it was Tim Rose and Beau Erikson who fought it  out for the 8 laps ,Tim Rose crossed the finish line 0.7 secs ahead of Beau Dan who got second ,coming in third was Ben Stevenson .In Race 2  the group lined up again ,the lights went out and it was again Tim Rose and Beau Erikson who took off into turn 1 ,and for the next 8 laps these 2 riders scrapped it out to take the lead and eventually Tim Rose won out and went on to take the flag ,coming in third was Ben Stevenson. Race 3 was next up on the grid, the lights went out and the pack of riders headed into turn 1 ,coming out of turn 1 was again the duo of Tim Rose and Beau Dan who were stuck together for the next 8 laps ,but in the end it was Yamaha rider Tim Rose who got the top podium by 0.391 secs from Beau Dan who picked up another second spot ,coming in third was again Ben Stevenson .In Race 4 the same  8 riders lined up for another 8 lap challenge ,the flag dropped and the riders headed into turn 1 with the Yamaha of Tim Rose and the KTM of Beau Dan at the head of the pack ,again the duo fought for the lead and as the laps went by and the lead changing ,it was Beau Erikson who went on to take the flag by 0.551 sec from Yamaha rider Tim Rose ,picking up third was Ben Stevenson.

Supermoto Clubman were the next class to line up on the grid with 10 riders present ,the lights went out and the group went into turn 1 ,coming out in the lead was Honda rider Kristo Raam ,being followed by another Honda rider Beki Pech ,and Yamaha rider Roger Davies  ,as the race went on the pack soughted themselves out and it was Kristo Raam who was powering ahead  and leading the group ,with Honda Beki Pech  in hot pursuit ,but as the laps went by it was Honda rider Kristo Raam who went on to take the flag by just under 3 sec’s from Beki Pech  who got second ,coming in third was Yamaha rider Roger Davies .In Race 2  the flag dropped and it was the trio of Kristo Raam ,Beki Pech and Roger Davies who were fighting it out up the front ,when the 7 laps had passed it was Honda rider Kristo Raam who went on to take the top podium ,with Honda rider Beki Pech again claiming second ,Roger Davies coming in third .Race 3 the group lined up  with 9 riders ,the lights went out and they headed into turn 1 ,coming out in front was again Honda rider Kristo Raam again being chased by the trio of Honda rider Beki Pech ,Yamaha rider Roger Davies and KTM rider Mike Ireland ,but as the laps counted down it was Kristo Raam who rode the Honda to the top podium with Yammy rider Roger Davies claiming a well deserved second spot ,picking up the remaining podium was KTM rider Mike Ireland . With the field back to 8 riders they rode out onto the grid , lined up and the lights went out  and they headed into turn 1 for the last time ,Honda rider Kristo Raam again got the hole shot and rode on up the track to continue to lead the pack ,after the 7 laps  Kristo Raam again put the Honda on the top podium ,claiming second was KTM rider Mike Ireland with Yamaha rider Roger Davies getting third .The feature race was next out to do battle ,first off was KTM rider Pheobe Meads who headed of around the track ,then Suzuki rider Kathleen Mercer hit the track in pursuit of Pheobe Meads ,the next rider to head into turn 1 was  Honda rider Kristo Raam ,as the riders raced around the back markers were slowly catching KTM rider Pheobe Meads ,but on the last of the 3 laps Suzuki rider overtook Pheobe Meads to take the flag with Pheobe Meads picking up second  ,and Kristo Raam collecting third.

Supermoto Open were the next class out on the grid with 15 riders gridding up ,the lights went out and it was the KTM of Tim Boujos that got a great start heading into turn 1 ,with  Yamaha rider Tim DeBryun in hot pursuit as the race went on the 2 riders stretched their lead and after the 8 laps it was the KTM of Tim Boujos that took the flag by just under 6 sec’s ,with Tim DeBruyn  claiming second ,coming in third was Grant Roncevich ,as in most races there’re races within the race and this was no exception with a group of riders fighting it out for the minor placings. In race 2 the 15 riders came out to do battle ,when the lights went out the KTM of Tim Boujos took off again being pursued by Tim DeBruyn and Grant Roncevich ,as the laps counted down it was Tim Boujos who took the flag by just over 5 sec’s from Tim DeBruyn  with Grant Rocevich claiming third. Race 3 came along and the 15 riders lined up, the flag dropped and the KTM of Tim Boujos took off again into turn 1 again being hotly pursued by Yamaha riders Tim DeBryun, Damon Gibbons and Grant Roncevich, but as they counted down the laps it was Tim Boujos who took the top podium with Tim DeBruyn claiming second and Damon Gibbons picking up third. The remaining 12 riders came out to contest Race 4 ,the lights went out and the pack of riders headed into turn 1 ,but again coming out at the head of the pack was KTM rider Tim Boujos being pursued by Yammy riders  Damon Gibbons and Tim DeBruyn ,but as the race went Tim Boujos stamped his authority and after the 8 laps went on to take the flag by just under 13.5 secs ,coming in second was Damon Gibbons with Tim DeBruyn picking up third .In the feature race the 3 riders headed out for their 3 lap fang Sam Watson on his KTM ,Andrew Biffen riding his Yamaha and Rohan Carwadine on the KTM ,as the laps went by it was Sam Watson that claimed top spot on the podium with Yamaha rider Andrew Biffen picking up second and Rohan Carwadine getting third.
