HCMC of WA  Round 6 Race  Day  6/9/15

The21 event HCMC Race  day started with clear blue skies and promised to end with clear blue skies .The first group  up on the grid was the Sidecars ,the lights went out and it was a fight between the combo of Smith/Thompson and Reid/Scalmer as who came out in front ,but after the 5 laps it was Smith/Thompson who rode their Suzuki across the finish line with Suzuki riders Reid/Scalmer claiming second spot ,the Kawasaki combo of Robbins/Smith crossed to get third spot on the podium .Race 2 lined up and it was Smith/Thompson who rode the Suzuki into turn 1 ahead of the pack and just rode the wheels of their machine to cross the finish line by over 6 sec's ,coming in second was the Kawasaki 600 of Robbins/ Smith ,with Reid /Scalmer getting the remaining podium .In Race 3 the lights went out it was again a fight into turn 1 but after the 5 laps it was the Kawasaki of Robbins/Smith who took the chequered flag with the combo of Webby/Dunbar-Stuart taking their Honda into second place ,coming in third was again the combo of Reid/Scalmer on the Suzuki.

Next class out were the Period 6 Prod 250,125GP, Period 4 350 / Rule 20 bikes, when the lights went out the 22 bike field headed in to turn 1 and it was it was the Gixxer of Glen Ottley that powered out and up the hill to take the lead, after the 5 laps in the R20 it was Glen Ottley who took the top podium with the Kawasaki of James Kelleher coming in second, Deon Moore getting the third spot. In the 125GP class it was David Doherty who rode the Honda to the top spot on the podium with fellow Honda rider Kathleen Mercer picking up second .In the P6 Prod 250 class it was Richard Langdon who rode his Suzuki to the top spot with fellow Suzuki rider Tony Hynes coming in second, picking up third place was Steven Crane riding a Suzuki. In the P4 350 it was Nick Miller who his Honda to take the top spot with Paul Smith riding a Honda to claim second place, rounding out the podium was Honda rider Neil McNickle .In race 2 rule 20 it was Suzuki rider Glenn Ottley that got the drop on the pack and pointed the Gixxer to take the flag with Kawasaki rider James Kelleher picking up second with Honda rider Deon Moore claiming third. The GP class was again fought out with the Hondas of David Doherty and Kathleen Mercer with Doherty claiming the top spot .In the 250 proddies it was the Suzuki of Richard Langdon that came in just under 9 sec's in front of Matt Powell's RGV with Steve Crane riding his Suzuki to third place. The P4 350 Honda of Nick Miller came in to claim the top spot with Honda rider Paul Smith getting second, Shaun Oliver snr riding the Honda into third. Race 3 lined up and it promised to be a beauty, the lights went out and the duo of James Kelleher and Glen Ottley rode headed off to challenge for the flag, but after the 5 laps it was the Kawasaki of James Kelleher that just piped Suzuki rider Glen Ottley who came in second, with Deon Moore riding his Honda into third spot .In the 125 GP class it was again David Doherty that got the drop on Kathleen Mercer and rode on to take the flag. The P6 250 class was again won by Suzuki rider Richard Langdon with Tony Hynes only just missing out coming in to get second, Steve Crane riding the Suzuki took third place .P4 350 rider Nick Miller riding his Honda again crossed the line to take the P4 350 class with Paul Smith riding into second place with Shaun Oliver snr taking his Honda into third spot.            

The Moderns and the Thunder bikes lined up and it was the Kawasaki of Keith Harrison that came out of turn 1 and just powered on thru' the 5 laps to take the flag with Colin Reynolds riding his Kawasaki to take second place with Josh Waters on the Suzuki getting third. In the Moderns it was Steve Pickering riding the Triumph who stood on top of the podium after the 5 laps with Brendan Moran riding the Ducati picking up second, coming in third was Buell rider Bernard Shanahan .In race 2 the lights went out and it was again Kawasaki rider Keith Harrison who got the drop on Colin Reynolds then rode on to take the flag with Reynolds picking up second place, coming in third was Suzuki rider Josh Matters. In the Thunder bikes it was again Triumph rider Steve Pickering who came in to take the flag with Ducati rider Brendan Moran claiming second ,Bernard Shanahan on the Buell claiming third .Race 3 came along and it was the Kawasaki  of Keith Harrison that got the drop on Colin Reynolds whose race ended after an off with Marc Cartier ,coming in second was Suzuki rider Josh Matters with Kawasaki rider James Kelleher claiming third .In the Thunder bikes it was again Steve Pickering that stood on top of the podium after the 5 laps with Brendon Moran getting second ,Bernard Shanahan riding his Buell into third spot.

In the P6 750,P6 Unlimited ,P5 350,P5 500 + 1300 class came out on the grid ,750 Suzuki rider Glen Ottley  with fellow Suzuki rider Bob Humphreys got away well and went on to fight for the top podium ,but after 5 laps it was Glen Ottley by the smallest of margins leaving Bob Humphreys to claim second spot ,coming in a distant third was Suzuki rider Rory Reibel .In the P5 350 it was Yamaha  Brian Richardson who rode his yammy in to take the top podium with Tony Hynes getting second ,coming in third was Chris Sullivan .In the P5 500 it was Ziggy Maeder who rode the yammy to take first place .Race 2 lined up and the duo of Bob Humphreys and Glen Ottley were again fighting to get come out of T1 ,but after the 5 laps it was the cunning of Bob Humphreys who came out tops with Glen Ottley riding into second ,and Rory Reibel claiming third .In P5 350 it was again a battle between Brian Richardson and fellow yammy rider Tony Hynes ,Brian Richardson rode in to claim the top podium with Tony Hynes claiming second ,Chris Sullivan getting third .In P5 500 it was Ziggy Maeder who put his Yamaha on top of the podium .Race 3 the lights went out and it was Glen Ottley who got the drop on Bob Humphreys and after the 5 laps it was Ottley that claimed top spot with Humphreys getting second ,and Rory Reibel coming in third. In P 5 350 class it was Tony Hynes who had the staying power and went on to claim the top spot on the podium ,with Chris Sullivan getting second and Andrew Collard claiming third.Ziggy Maeder again rode his Yammy in to claim the top spot .

P2,P3,P5/Sportpites  lined up with 9 riders but after the 5 laps it was David George Mercer that ride his Yammy into first place of the P5L's with Alex Kennedy riding his BSA in to claim top spot in the P3S.In race 2 it was again David George Mercer that got his yammy ahead and went on to claim the top podium in the P5L class, Alex Kennedy riding in the P3S class came in to claim the top podium with the remaining P3S rider Andrew Orford getting second .SL rider Billy Couch rode in to claim his podium ,Shaun Oliver (snr) rode in on the Ducati to claim his podium .In the P5L's David George Mercer got away to a great start and after the 5 laps crossed the finish line to claim the top podium ,Billy Couch in the Sportlites rode in to take his class win , in the P3L it was Shaun Oliver(snr) who took the honors ,in the P3S class it was Andrew Orford on his BSA that out lasted his opponents to claim top spot .

Period 4 + 5 Unlimited ,Period 6 500 classes were next out on the grid ,When the lights went out it was P5 unlimited rider Glen Ottley on his Suzuki who was the first out of T1 ,with Tony Hynes on his Motorplast and Suzuki rider Tony Logan hot on his heels but after the 5 laps it was Glen Ottley that who took the chequered flag with Tony Hynes claiming second ,Tony Logan getting third .In the P4U it was Nick Miller who rode his BSA to claim the class win over Honda rider Bob Hull .In the P6S it was Honda rider Chris Kirby who outclassed Honda rider Sophie Fox who rode well to claim second place with fellow Honda rider Rob Fry coming in third. The lights went out on race 2 and it was Tony Hynes in the P5U class that had a great start and headed out of T1 heading toward the flag with Rory Reibel riding into second place, rounding out the podium was Tony Logan who claimed third. The P4U was won by Nick Miller on his BSA with Bobby Hull riding his Honda .In the P6U it was Honda rider Sophie Fox who rode the wheels of her bike  to claim top spot on the podium ,with Chris Kirby taking second spot and Rob Fry coming in third .Race 3 lined up and it was the Motor plast bike of Tony Hynes that got the drop on Rory Reibel and Tony Logan ,after the 5 laps it was Tony Hynes that claimed the top spot with Rory Reibel  getting second and Tony Logan coming in third. In the P4U it was Nick Miller on the beast that rode on to claim the top spot in his class with Bob Hull claiming second place .The P6S was again won by Honda Sophie Fox who showed her competitors a clean set of wheels, with Chris Kirkby claiming second and Rob Fry getting third.

Next out were the Juniors 12 under 16, the lights went out and it was Honda Jonah Sita who came out of T1 closely being pursued by another Honda rider Bronsan Pickett and Joel Couch on the Moriwaki, but after the 5 laps it was Jonah Sita that stood top of the podium with Bronsan Pickett getting second, Joel Couch picking up third. Race 2 got under way it was again Jonah Sita riding his Honda who got the drop and was first out of turn 1 ,Bronsan Pickett and Joel Couch were scrapping over second but it was Bronsan Pickett who made it to the second spot on the podium with Moriwaki rider Joel Couch claiming third. In race 3 the lights went out and it was Jonah Sita that got the drop and headed out of turn 1 in the lead, Bronsan Pickett and Honda rider Adam Haines were back fighting for second place but after the 5 laps it was Honda rider Jonah Sita that took first place with Bronsan Pickett getting second and Adam Haines coming in third.

                                                                                                It was another Successful race day for the HCMCWA.
