                   The day started off with Phillip Island being Phillip Island with  the wind blowing and the rain coming in hozizontal ,the day looked doomed ,but the skies cleared and the wind dropped .

           Casey Stoner came to the 2011 Iveco Australian MotoGP needing only to win the race and in doing that would seal the 2011 MotoGP championship ,not only did he win but he did it in fine style by winning on his 26th birthday , Marco Simonelli came in second (2nd) back at +2.210 sec's ,with Andrea Dovizioso taking the final spot on the podium +2.454 sec's back .

                  In Moto 2 Alex De Angelis eventually fought of Stefan Bradl to win the race by +1.358 sec's ,with Marc Marquez starting at the back of the grid and working his way thru' the field filling the last spot on the podium +6.632 sec's back ,Marquez did a good making his way thru' to the podium .In the last 125cc race to be held at Phillip Island the race started of with a shower of rain but as it dried Sandro Cortese just pulled away to win by a +13.572 sec lead to Luis Salom ,filling the last spot on the podium was filled by Johann Zarco +14.311 sec's back.,although the race was Red flagged Sandro Cortese would've won .
